  Boiling Water Resistant (BWR) Grade Plywood:

  Boiling Water Resistant (BWR) grade plywood is waterproof and can resist water better than MR plywood. It’s made with phenol formaldehyde adhesive, a synthetic plastic resin, making it suitable for furniture likely to get wet, such as kitchen cabinets, lawn chairs, and garden tables. BWR plywood comes in thicknesses ranging from 4mm to 25mm. Although more expensive than MR plywood, it is a popular choice in India, with prices around Rs.50 to 267 per sq. ft.

  Boiling Water Proof (BWP) Grade Plywood or Marine Grade Plywood:

  Boiling Water Proof (BWP) grade plywood, also known as Marine Grade Plywood, is made from single select hardwood species. It’s bonded with boiling water-proof synthetic undiluted phenol formaldehyde adhesive, making it superior in quality and strength compared to MR and BWR plywood. BWP plywood is ideal for applications where prolonged exposure to water is expected, making it suitable for marine applications like building ships and boats. Thickness options include 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 16mm, 19mm, etc., with prices ranging from approximately Rs.52 to 300 per sq.ft.
